  • Day1

    NEGOMBO

    On arrival you will be warmly welcomed with fresh orchid garlands & transferred to the hotel in Negombo. Rest at the hotel.

  • Day2

    NEGOMBO- DAMBULLA – SIGIRIYA

    After having an early breakfast in Negombo and checked out of the hotel, you can step out to the town and visit the local fish markets that are usually filled with excitement and buzz in the morning.

    Have a glance at the colourful fish caught at sea by the busy fishermen of the coast and then drive towards the historical city of Sigiriya while visiting the mysterious Dambulla cave temples en route.

    The Dambulla Cave Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site and will give you the chance to view the beautiful golden temples, statues, grottoes and huge wall paintings in this extraordinary rock sanctuary. This ancient city is often considered an inspiration for Buddhist pilgrims.

    A lavish dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel late in the night.

  • Day3

    SIGIRIYA

    After having breakfast at the hotel, you can step out to explore the ancient historical city and take a trek to the top of the world-renowned Sigiriya Lion Rock.

    In Sigiriya you can observe the ancient Sri Lankan engineering and urban planning supremacy which acclaims to be one of the finest monuments of art and culture. Step through the gigantic 'Lion Paws' - overlooking the symmetrical royal gardens below to comprehend the absolute splendour that once dominated this rock fortress.

    Having observed the ancient frescoes that relate to the Gupta style paintings found in the Ajanta caves of India, you can take a stroll in the shade of an eminent 'mirror wall' embracing the Western face of Sigiriya representing an artistic hundred meters laminated with graffiti.

    Once done you can head back to the hotel where you can enjoy a scrumptious full course dinner late in the night.

  • Day4

    SIGIRIYA- MINNERIYA- SIGIRIYA

    After having breakfast enjoy some leisure time at the hotel.

    Later in the afternoon proceed to Minneriya for an exciting Safari.

    If you're up for a serious rumble in the jungle, then Minneriya is your Colosseum! Spreading over 8800 hectares, this is a sanctuary for elephants. Minneriya is home to herds of deer and ample birdlife, but its spotlight remains between swaying trunks & flapping ears. Park your jeep on the bank of the reservoir and switch off its engine. Watch carefully as herds of elephants - one by one - roll on to the grass-covered banks, to feed on tender shoots. In fact, this is the largest elephant gathering in the world - over 700 at a time - which has garnished the park to become a magnet for wildlife enthusiasts across the globe.

  • Day5

    SIGIRIYA- POLONNARUWA- PASSIKUDAH

    After having breakfast at your hotel in Sigiriya you will be transferred to the picturesque coastal line of Passikudah while visiting the ancient capital city of Polonnaruwa en route.

    The ancient city of Polonnaruwa is a medieval capital and crown jewel of the historic King Parakramabahu I. To date Polonnaruwa remains superior proof of the country’s ancient culture and heritage blended with religious beliefs.

    Walk across the city’s scattered walls of the World Heritage Site blessed by stupas, resting Buddha statues, irrigation canals and fantastically carved Hindu sculptures and observing the relic house known as Watadage which boasts of beautiful stone carvings and explore the exciting culture and heritage of the country.

    Once done, continue with your drive towards Passikudah and check into your hotel. Enjoy a late night dinner by the beach.

    PASSIKUDAH

    Having had an early breakfast at the hotel, you can spend the day at your leisure either heading out to the palm fringed beach to enjoy a variety of water sports from diving to surfing or indoors by the pool.

    Partake in some exciting Water Sports from scuba diving to snorkelling that will give an exciting thrill and dive to the depths of the blue ocean to catch a glimpse of the great big marine life of Passikudah.

    You can also have the once in a life time opportunity to cruise the sparkling waters of Pasikudah on a luxury yacht and explore the coastal line in luxury and comfort with a picnic of snacks and cocktails.

    Once done you can head back to the hotel and enjoy a scrumptious and mouth-watering dinner at the hotel.

    PASSIKUDAH-ELLA

    Once done with breakfast in Passikudah you can head towards the chill town of Ella, where you will enjoy your stay at the picturesque 98 Acres Resort and Spa while travelling through the mountains and valleys covered with velvet green tea plantations.

  • Day8

    ELLA

    Having had breakfast at the hotel, you can spend day seven at your leisure. Head out towards the town and you visit the famous nine arch bridge of Demodara and the Ella gap.

    The bridge is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country and the construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers.

    Having explored the stunning bridge, you can then stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant or café and take a trek to the top of the famous Mini Adam’s Peak mountain once done.

    Gradually with an easy hike up to the mountain of Little Adams Peak you can consummation a worth panoramic view. Having walked through the lush green tea plantations, waterfalls and paddy fields you will come to enjoy the most breath-taking sceneries at the very top of the mountain.

    Once done, you can stop at the hip and happening Ella Chill cafe to grab a beer, cocktail or an evening snack before heading back to the hotel where you can enjoy a delicious late night dinner.

    ELLA-WEERAWILA

    After having breakfast in Ella, you can travel towards your next destination which is the beautiful town of Weerawila. Here you will enjoy your stay at the Flameback eco lodge while stopping at the magnificent Ravana Falls en route.

    Once done you can continue with your drive towards Weerawila where you can stop at the entrance house which with its clay walls and Palmyrah roof is an ideal cozy spot for you to interact with the local arts and crafts made by the talented local artists. Hand painted canvas paintings of endemic birds and wild life are exhibited with other handicrafts while certain afternoons are filled with live demonstrations of local talent.

    If you are lucky, you will get the opportunity to partake in some of these demonstrations from local cookery demonstrations to palmyrah weaving sessions, and pottery sessions.

    Once done you can head towards the eco lodge. Unravel your senses to the most spectacular eco lodges embossed in a lush eco garden in Weerawila nestled amidst the gleeful chirps of endemic bird species, the immaculate waters of the bordering lake which will miraculously freshen your spirit at an instance.

    You can relish a scrumptious and lavish dinner at the hotel among the dense wildlife late in the night.

  • Day10

    WEERAWILA-GALLE

    Having enjoyed an early breakfast in Weerawila, you can then travel towards the colonial city of Galle which will give you the chance to indulge in local luxury, through a morning of shopping at Barefoot, situated down the Corner of Church and Peddler Street, a southern outpost of the stylish Colombo homeware shop, Orchid House -near Dutch Hospital, selling handicraft, sarongs, and gems and Stick No Bills that offers a variety of printed designs on postcards or wallpapers.

    After a nice stroll along the streets of the Galle Fort you can check in at your hotel which is the Fortaleza that is set in a contemporary and Western style together with the perfect blend of an Asian accent at the same time. Its heart is situated at the sunken-in courtyard Restaurant and Bar at No. 9 Church Cross Street.

    Later after a scrumptious lunch, you can have a sneak peek of Galle Fort from the very top, with a breath-taking view of the golden sunset.

    The Fort’s wall is where locals and tourists come together and enjoy the beautiful view over the city and on the sea. Start at the white lighthouse on the south-eastern part of the fort. The lighthouse is iconic to Galle Fort. From there, walk around along the seaside.

    Walk to the northwest side of the Fort where you can see the Clock Tower. That side is the connection between Galle City and Galle Fort. It’s a 2km walk around the fort and once explored you will head back and enjoy the night at the hotel.
